Spoke counts for different bike categories generally follow these
common standards:
Road rim brake – 20/24
Road disc brake – 24/24
Gravel – 24/24
MTB XC / marathon – 28/28
MTB enduro – 32/32
We generally follow these standards. However, if hubs with a different number of
holes are available, we can use them. For example, road or gravel wheels can be
reinforced to 28/28, while ultralight MTB wheel builds can use 24/24 spokes.
Number of spokes/holes
Standard spoke counts for each wheel category provide the optimal combination of stiffness, weight and durability. However, we also offer customizations such as reinforced spokes or ultra-light wheels upon request.
