Fitting tires and applying tubeless sealant

Installing tubeless tires is not easy and requires skill and practice. For even seating on the rim, it is advisable to moisten the tire beads with soapy water.

For the initial inflation and seating on the rim, a standard pump cannot be used. You need either a CO2 cartridge or an air-tank booster. First, the pressure vessel is filled, then its entire contents are released through the valve into the tire. The burst of air immediately presses the entire tire onto the rim. The tire can then be topped up with a pump.

Applying the sealant requires 60 ml for road tires or 90 ml for MTB tires, inserted through the valve using a hose. Because the sealant dries out, the same amount should be replenished every three months.
