The main innovation and advantage is that the Ratchet DEG system, thanks to the larger diameter of the cogs, uses a different angle of engagement teeth than the classic Ratchet or Ratchet EXP engagement. All this to provide a smaller initial engagement angle and, above all, maximum reliability with regard to the size of the teeth. The new full mutual locking of the DEG cogs provides, above all, a larger contact area around the entire circumference than conventional flag hubs and thus a more balanced load distribution.
